I upgraded to SP1 this past weekend.

Here are some questions I have.

1.  While many new additions were made to the default filter criteria drop down, user is now gone.  Is there a way to change what defaults show up for users who do not have permissions to edit the criteria list?  Or what permissions must I give them specifically to edit the list

2.  Any chance of being able to create folders for better organization of targets in the new targets view?

Thank you for submitting these questions. We will make sure to cover them during Thursday's webcast.

Will there be a response/update to when SP1 will be fixed to not uninstall Service Desk 7.5?

Hi Kevin, yes this issue was fixed last week. We will make sure to discuss this on the Webcast to ensure everyone is aware it has been resolved.

Here is some information on Cloud Enabled Management that should be useful:

Symantec Endpoint Management 7.5 Summit held November 5-7, 2013

I'm currently running SMP 7.1 SP2 MP1.1 that's hitting an off-box SQL 2008 R2 server.  Beyond this, I only have a single package/task server running Windows 2008 R2 so my infrastructure is simple.  Would like it if the webcast pointed out any major prerequisites or gotchas prior to firing up the 7.5 SP1 upgrade via SIM.

@Clint, Be sure you review the release notes and the Installation and Upgrade Guide.  The upgrade guide does a good job of outlining the pre-upgrade steps, upgrade process, and post-upgrade steps.  You shoudn't need any hardware changes otther than adding DMZ hardware if you are implementing CEM. The main hang up for me has been working with certificates.

Add on

1. Where is the target feature (filter builder) on Altiris 7.5? I have CMS 7.5 but can't find it on Manage>Computers.

2. For CEM, where does the package resides when having a software or patch deployment on clients?

3. Is PCAnywhere (or any other remote tool) supported on CEM?

PCAnywhere is pretty much EOL moving forward. If you're using Win8 or Mac OS 10.9.* you're out of luck.

In the pca end of life statement it does say it is still supported in the platform, just not as a stand alone product.

I thoght PCAnywhere was EOL on Stand Alone, but was going forward as a a ITMS tool or is that wishful thinking.

"The pcAnywhere™ Solution component is not affected by this announcement. The pcAnywhere Solution™ component is included with the Symantec™ Deployment Solution product, the Symantec™ Client Management Suite product, and the Symantec™ IT Management Suite product."

Not clear if that means they'll support win8 though

I saw that and still wondering. Is that the last version or are they going to update it and further intigrate it into itms.  It always had a bit of a slapped on feel.

Please discuss the changes to the WinPE environment that SP1 brings. I would like to know the specifics and what is involved in setting up WinPE after the upgrade. Thanks.

FYI: Perhaps I did something wrong but I had to re-register for this webcast to get in.  It was asking for a Registration ID although couldn't join with any of the numbers provided in the various notification e-mails.  Re-registering allowed me to get in without providing this number (since the webcast was already in session?).

Same problem, but re-registering did not allow me to attend. There is no way to see this. Something is wrong with your webex system. The Event ID is required, yet we don't have an event ID.
