I attended the European conference in the Hague last year, and was left feeling pretty gutted -I felt like I had just paid to attend a Symantec sales pitch. I complained, and I was told I was not alone in this. I did not however receive any feedback from Symantec staff which isn't great considering it's an event we pay to attend.

So, getting to the point -are there going to be any changes to the European conference style? Will we see more labs and technical content (like we used too) ?

Kind Regards,
Ian./

Ian,

This is the response I received from the Vision EMEA team.

This year you'll experience more deep dive technical sessions. We will also be increasing the number of technical hands-on labs. As a result, the breakout session will be more technical and we will also offer more instructor-led technical trainings.

Hope this helps.

Leslie

I can't seem to find the list of Hands-On Labs & Technical Breakout Sessions for the Vegas Vision.

Is it posted anywhere...?

Thanx.

Vegas Vision was an incredible event.  Very well organized.  I got to sit in front of new versions of software and work with them.  I only wish that they had some higher level hands on labs instead of just introductory ones.

So, any info on the 2011 event so I can start softening up the boss...errrrr...convincing him of the value?

Can't help on dates and venues for the 2011 event, but as for value its possibly going to be even better. The organisers might well put up an additional computer lab next year which would be available throughout the conference for delegates to run through any of the conferences lab sessions.

For me, getting logging those 'hands-on' hours is a good chunk of what Vision is about!

The Powerpoints/Sllides will be available through the registration system. (Where you registered for sessions.) They should be available shortly.

Although there are no current plans to stream the conference live, the keynotes and many of the sessions will be recorded and posted. You can see many from last year's conference here: http://www.symantec.com/connect/vision/videos
