0x00000050 SRTSPL64.SYS restarts computer all the time when login
Created: 27 Sep 2012 | 15 comments
So far, every single time I try to login to my computer, the loading screen takes about 20 seconds or so then it crashes and reboots. I am aware of it being a BSOD 0x00000050 error SRTSPL64.SYS. I know this involves with Symantec Endpoint Protection. The only security programs that I have are MSE, AVG trial/tracker, Malwarebytes, McAfee Security Scan Plus, and TDSSKiller. What should be my solution to stop having my computer rebooting every 20 seconds when I log in normally? I'm using Safe Mode with Networking right now.

What version of SEP are you running? What components do you have installed? Is this managed or unmanaged?
It's not recommended to run two AVs on the same system. Should pick one or the other.
Malwarebytes is fine because its a second opinion scanner, same with McAfeee and TDSSKiller.

I have SEP 11.0.5002.333. There's only 1 AVG.
That's a pretty old version, which was buggy. I would suggest an upgrade. Latest for 11.x is RU7 MP2
Or you can go to SEP 12.1.
What OS are you on?

As Brian said you can migrate to 12.1 or 11.0.7 MP2 which is the latest version............

Hello,
On what OS are you receiving BSOD?
"I know this involves with Symantec Endpoint Protection. The only security programs that I have are MSE, AVG trial/tracker, Malwarebytes, McAfee Security Scan Plus, and TDSSKiller. "
Any Particular Reason to have so many Antivirus Programs installed on a single machine?
I would not recommend you installing more than 1 Antivirus on the Machine.
I would also request a quick check on this Article:

I am having this very same problem - except that I have a Win7 64 bit OS. Most of the solutions here seem like they're for Vista.
I had to disable my SEP in order to get in to my computer at all, without the startup/shutdown loop happening!
Should I uninstall SEP then re-install?

I'm running 12.01. Looks like I downloaded the files on 5/13/11. Perhaps it's time for an upgrade?
Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with this process -- don't know how to start another thread!
Latest version is 12.1.2:
