0xe000032d error when trying to back up Microsoft Exchange 2007

Hi All,

I am running BackUp Exec 12.5 to back up my Exchange 2007 running on Windows 2008 64 bit. The back up officially fails but with the error below. The detailed reports show that each step completed so I not sure if it's a valid back up or it's really failed. This does not appear to be related to Exchange roll up 4 as seen in the past because my server is at roll up 9. I have run the Exchange Integrity Check and it found and fixed a few errors. The problem still persists. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks in advance!

Final error: 0xe000032d - The consistency check of the snapshot for the Microsoft Exchange transaction log has failed. You should check for possible data corruption in the transaction log that is online.
Final error category: Resource Errors

Hi Nathan,

Remove AOFO and try again. Symantec actually recommend either not running AOFO when backing up Exchange and files, or separating the 2 different types of backups into 2 jobs if needed.

Hi Nathan,

We've got the exact same issue as you at the moment (same setup, Exchange 07 [SP1 Rollup 9] on a 64x Server 2008 box), sadly I can't give you any advice at the moment as we haven't fixed it, however, in reply to CraigV's post 0 we've never had AOFO switched on and the problem still occurs.

We are also having exactly the same issue as mentioned by Dave. It was all working well until last week we had a power shutdown which turned the NAS down and the backup apparently failed couple of times. When we brought the NAS device up and running, this problem started occuring. Other backups are fine, but the exchange backup fails with the following message
