12.1 to 12.5 Upgrade
This issue has been solved. See solution.
Any good reasons to upgrade from 12.1 to 12.5?
Has anyone made the upgrade and regretted it (new issues, etc.)?
Thanks.

I'd love to know if this upgrade would fix my show-stopper with GeForce graphics, but it apparently isn't available as a bug fix. Or am I missing something?
12.5 build 442 SP1 was just released.
If you are looking at moving you will want to make sure that you are running the latest version, reading the release notes several items have been resolved.
Rdurost the 64bit OS issue was resolved in 12.5 it happens with other video cards also a file and registry modification are required to resolve this. I posted to your original post on this.

How do we upgrade now???
I've looked in SIM which is where I thought updates show up in ver7 but can't see any PCA update. Is there somewhere else I should be looking for the update or is there a standalone installer? If the latter, can someone give me a url.....navigating the Symantec website for anything hurts my head.

If you have pcA solution then there is only one version in SIM
If you have pcA solution then there is only one version in SIM the orriginal version. I think it is part of the CMS suite. If you have a serial number for the standalone pcA you can go to https://fileconnect.symantec.com/LangSelection.jsp and put in your serial number to download the latest version.
Cheers

That's the problem
Whilst we have all the same products as CMS, as we are an educational institution our product bundle is called education bundle 4. We have a license file to activate PCA. When we run SIM, there is no update listed for PCA. We have 12.5.0.2 (I think), but apparently there is supposed to be a SP which has a higher build number.

Hi Greg, Upgrade is possible
Hi Greg,
Upgrade is possible from 12.5 (build 265) to 12.5 SP1 (442) for box product. You are talking about pcAnywhere solution and you wont find upgrade avaiilble for it in SIM. There is release called Solution SP1 planned in next quarter.

Good reasons to upgrade from 12.1 to 12.5
Hi ADIT,
To answer your query 'Any good reasons to upgrade from 12.1 to 12.5?' here are few pointers:
Security:
Host and Remote settings: The number of combinations in which Host and Remote items can be configured are enormous. All these settings are available in user friendly UI.
Authentication types: More than one types of authentications let user take benefit of their existing setups of IIS (in case of http/ https), Microsoft networking etc.
Command Queue: This is the most user friendly feature for creating custom batch files. even a layman can use this to run batch on schedule.
Options Sets: They let you create sets of different configurations (congaing combinations of more than 30 settings) which can be applied on a single mouse click.
In Session activities: User can avail benefit of session recording, snapshots, chat, whiteboard and many others in this single application.
Packager: You can create custom installations of pcAnywhere to suit your environment!!!
Access Server: All pcAnywhere hosts running in your network environment can be safely docked and given a sure and secure access if you use Access Server.
Quick Connect: At a single glance machine available for connection are seen.
InterOS connectivity: This has been a cool part of pcAnywhere that with a single product you can obtain connectivity among different OSs
There aren't many products in the market today which let you play safe with so many features around.
The reason for providing lot of such features in a single product is to make it more dynamic and suit the requirements of maximum possible users. Diverse work environments demand Different settings for connectivity and allied areas so pcAnywhere tries to cater to as many as possible. With the latest integration of pcAnywhere with NS, the arena for remote connectivity opens even wider.

Nitin
