Just wanted to share my thoughts onf 12.1 RU1. It has been day 2 using this. seems like a great improvement over 11.7 apart from my comments below.
However (and i think its just me) the deployment of clients is just (sigh) yucky!
1) I realize everyit makes sense to put common tasks on the Home tab and i know it makes sense that deploment is a common task but it also means you can't manage and leave deployments as they deploy. I often had to find myself opening another RDP session into the SEPM server to manage while i deploy. you know the saying and im coining this now....D N' F....Deploy N' Forget..kinda like Javelin Missles Fire and Forget, you press the button on the launcher, missle shoots off and does its thing to explode target and you go on your merry way to do other things.. With this deployment in 12.1, I hit deploy, i can't do anything in SEPM while thats going and I really did like the "old school" way how it manager and deploment was seperate.
2) Deployment...yes...can't get enough of it..large networks, when it searches and searches....you want to deploy to a few machines...(sigh) it is very annoying.
