  • 1.  12.1 server only giving option to install 11.0.7 client?

    Hi,

         We recently upgraded our V11 server to V12.

     

    However, when I try to push out a new install of client (from "Home", "Client Deployment wizard"). I only get the option to deplaoy the old 11.0.700.975 client. How do I change this to V12 client?

    HI,

    try to run upgrade.bat.

    run the upgrade.bat (located under C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin)

    Hi,

    Try to run upgrade.bat.

    Do you see SEP 12.1 install packages under SEPM --> Admin --> Installed Packages?

    If package are not listed then you can import them manually.

    You can refer this article to learn how to import packages into the SEPM, this article is demonstrating how to import SEP 11 package but the same way you can try to import SEP 12.1 package.

    If you faced any error while importing package let us know.

    If you are using SBE version then you won't see install pacakge tab & other features.

    The upgrade.bat ran ok... but did nothing.

    The Admin --> Installed Packages is only showing versions 11.0.6 & 11.0.7 (no v12 listed)

     

    When I follow the manual import process... I am getting the error "package already exists"

    ...I am pointing it towords the SAVLegacy32.info in folder...

    Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1_RU1_MP1_Part1_Installation_EN\SEPM\AdditionalPackages

    of the orginal install package.

     

    At a guess, this is the older v11 package... not the new v12 pacakage I am trying to manually add???

    Hi,

    Could you please confirm SEPM version details?

    Admin --> Installed Packages option is available only in Enterprise Edition, it's not available in Small Business Edition.

    Version 12.1.1101.401 RU1 MP1 - Should be Enterprise

    ... whats Small Business Edition got to do with anything?

    How exactly did you upgrade your SEPM 11?
