Hi,

With SEP12, Symantec decided to merge the old clientremote tool and Find Unmanaged Computers into one.  The new version is called the Client Deployment Wizard.

You can find it in two places - first from the Home screen, choose "Install Protection Client to Computers" from the "Common Tasks" drop down at the top right, or alternatively, from the Clients tab, when you are in the client list, click "Add a Client" on the left hand side, just above "Add computer account"

Both will launch the CDW and allow you to search your network, find all your PC's and helps you deploy the right client to each one.

You can promote this idea if want to bring back this features.

Hello,

I believe you are talking about "Find unmanaged computers"

The new version is called the Client Deployment Wizard.

Hi,

Unmanged computers feature is no more available in SEP 12.1

Either you configure unmanged detector notification or use CDW method.

If we checked this idea: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/ideas/sepm12-bring-back-find-unmanaged-computers-sepm11 they have mentioned at the bottom

"The Client Deployment Wizard in SEP 12.1.2 (RU2) released yesterday has close to a 10 fold improvement in performance for the remote deployment over what SEP 12.1 had.  SEP 12.1.2 should address the issues mentioned here.

Note: the workflow does not change but it is made faster and more reliable."

It means Find unmanaged computers  will not be present in SEP 12.1 version.sad

You need to use the Client Deployment Wizard, it is an improved version of Find Unmanaged Computers.

Article on how to use is found here:
