    Posted May 17, 2013 01:32 PM

    Hi Everyone,

I attached the new install packages and I am hosting the setup.exe via IIS. I was suprised that none of the clients upgraded. I figured at least a few of the PCs would have been rebooted. When I checked here is what I get for the deployment status:

Deployment status: The client has successfully downloaded and verified the upgrade package

Deployment message: Client has successfully downloaded and verfied the upgrade package, type full version 12.1.2100.2093 filesize 0.

    Deployment target version: 12.1.2100.2093

    Deployment running version: 12.1.2015.2015

Could anyone tell me what the means? Do the PCs need to be restarted?

    Thanks,

    Mike

It's depend on how you have create the package. Create the package without reastart

Check the SEP_INST.log file in %temp% on any of client and share it

Kindly confirm these are remote site or it is main branch.

If it main branch you can try autoupgrade function.

If it remote site then use "ClientRemote.exe".

    Hey Mike

Just a heads up if you have XP/2003 clients that utilise the SEP firewall in your environment:

Network performance slows on Windows XP with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 Release Update 2 Maintenance Pack 1 installed
