Endpoint Protection

Hi,  I currently have the latest client running on El capitain and plan to upgrade to Sierra tomorrow. What issues should I expect to happen? Will the client no longer work? Thanks!

Sierra is not supported on 12.1.6 MP5. It should be supported in the next release 12.1.6 MP6. There is small section on 12.1.6 MP6 here:

...so the MP6 release must be quite close. Per this link it's "September 2016" but no exact date:

I haven't seen documented issues yet with Sierra so it could be ok or it may not.

SEP 12.1 RU6 MP6 (12.1.7061.6600) was released on 9/16/16 and is available on FileConnect for download. This new release adds support for MacOS Sierra (10.12).

Thanks for the response. What has happened in the past when one upgraded to an unsupported OS?

So users shoudn't see any issues? I can't upgrade to 12.1.6 MP6 for another couple of weeks.

your upgrading to an unsupported OS. If you know this ahead of time then best of luck on the upgrade hope it goes smoothly without issues
