Hi

I have backup exec 10d installed on 2 servers running nightly backups, i need to decommision sql on Server B.

Server A has backup exec installed and is using the sql from our Server C for its BEDB (thats running fine now)

Server B has backup exec installed and i need that to be using the sql on our Server C aswell but when i use the be-utility on Server B it tells me that the database already exists and is being used by another media server. (which will be Server A)

Is there anyway around this or can both Server A and Server B use the same BEDB database on Server C.

Thanks in advance

hi,

i had to use the sql disk to install a named instance on the server where you already have your sql installed, after that was setup i used the  be-utility on the other server to move the bedb over to the new instance.

hope it helps
