  • 1.  3 questions regarding SEP SBE 3.0

    Hi there, we have recently renewed for 3 years our Symantec Endpoint Protection Suite at our offices, and got hit by this: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH131119&locale=en_US

    CBL tagging my exchange admin notification emails as spam, there it mentions a "future build", will it be available via LiveUpdate or we have to download it at the secure site?

    the second question is: we have some new laptops with Windows 7 and a nasty popup keeps appearing regarding a  COH_Mon service that is being blocked. Is there a solution for this?

    Lastly, I've added succesfully the new serial number to the license manager, but i keep getting the notification for the old serial that expired, is it safe to delete the old from the LM?

    What is the version of Symantec Protection you are using?

     

    Download the latest version(12.0.1001.95) from https://fileconnect.symantec.com and upgrade the existing manager.

     

    Also upgrade the clients to fix the " COH_Mon service that is being blocked" issue

     

    It is safe to delete the old license from the Symantec Protection Center.

    Make sure you use the latest version that is 12.0.1001.95 and everything should be fine

    a little snag, i went to the secure site https://fileconnect.symantec.com , tried my new and my old serial numbers and both gave me back to download the 12.0.1 version

    I have the latest version of Symantec Protections Suite Small business edition. It has been a great disappointment & I am sorry that I ever purchased it. After many hours and a lot of grief I finally found our why I keep getting on the CBL blacklist. Spent a lot of time with Symantec support but they were no help, just a waste of time. CBL finally helped me out. Protections suite is sending out notifications using just a bare IP address and this triggers the spammer alert. Symantec have known about the problem for many months but so far have done nothing to solve it. I can't even get the support people to comment on it. I wonder when it will ever be fixed. Very poor customer service.
