I have 3 SEPM servers looking after 3 different geogrphical environments that don't assotiate with each other. Our link speed wasn't the greatest between the 3 areas but is now improved. What would you recommend that I do? Should I maintain these three servers or decommission two of them? There is no replication occuring between the 3 servers.

It's up to you. It's probably a pain to manage all 3 separately.

How many clients are pointing to each?

What you could do it setup replication between the 3 (assuming all on same version) and configure the MSL on the one you want to be your main one to have all clients point to it. Once they are moved over, you can decom the other two.

Either that or just replace the sylink on the clients you want to point to your main one.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would suggest to implement GUP at two location and use single SEPM to manage all three sites.

But it's important to know how many clients are per site? Type of database used? How important to have database and SEPM backup?

What's the avaialable bandwidth between three sites?

As you mean that all of 3 branches client are now manage locally and there is no replication between all of them?

I suggest you first you can create the GUP for Sub Branches and manage that branches from GUP.

After the success and smoothly work then you can decommission

For the same first you can create the test group and move 2-3 clients on test group and set the one of client as a gup and after that check the client are talking with that gup client to take the defintion or not. If it success then move all the clients

Port 2967 is require to open bi-direction.

Have you created the GUP for the Remote site as above mention?

Clients are be manage by GUP easily so you can be decompress the other Server.
