  • 1.  404 - File or directory not found error after adding certificate

First of all, we have a certificate for for our server and want it to answer to the alias darsupportdev.dev.jhu.edu.

    For example…
    Current URL http://servername/processmanager
    Desired URL: https://darsupportdev.dev.jhu.edu/processmanager

Our IS team has been working on this and I'm not sure if this is related to the error we're getting when we try to Report an incident or not but thought it was important to mention.

The biggest problem right now is that when anyone tries to Submit/Report an Incident, we are getting a Server Error that says

404 - File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

We have also noticed that the folders Administrative Services, Default, IT Services, and Office and File Workflow on a few other tabs (Tickets, Submit Request) are not working.  Nothing happens when we click on them.

Has anyone else experienced this or know what is happening?  As I mentioned, I'm not sure if the addition of the certificate caused the issue or maybe it's a coincidence that the error happened around the same time the IS team is working on the certificate.

I'll also add that this is only happening on our TEST server, not in production.

check this link, and consider it in the context that you'll want all your URLs everywhere to match the new certificate URL.  the context in which this article was written was to update an HTTP workflow server to an HTTPS workflow server, but the URL locations should still apply for you.

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/enable-ssl-servicedesk-71-after-post-install-wizard-finishes

that link should have all the locations you'll need to validate.  if you have a URL mismatch anywhere, some weird things can happen, such as certain elements on a form will not work, or tabs in process manager will not work, etc.
