    Hi
I can add Endpoint 11 to our 32 bit machines no problem to and manage them in the Endpoint console but when I roll out the 64 bit version to machines they do not report back to the management server. If a add a client record they are still not reporting in and their virus definitions are not updating. How can we get the 64 bit machines to report in to the management console and pick up the correct updates

I assume that you have followed this doc to install the SEP on 64bit box

    http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/854fa02b4f5013678825731a007d06af/0dee80d88f56910b8825752300572a1f?OpenDocument

check if the symantec software is installed on the 64bit box.

Check if windows firewall is enabled on the 64bit box ..

if windows firewall is enabled , disable it and check if thats communicating with the manager

The communication happens the same way in 32 and 64 bit systems..you do not have to add the machines manually..

Check if the windows firewall is blocking it.Were you able to deploy 64 bit package on the 64 bit machines?
If the client is still not communicating after basic troubleshooting then..
try running sylinkmonitor and paste the sylink log..

Replace the sylink on one machine and see if its commuincating or not

1.Copy of the file Sylink.xml from the server from C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\agent\(Any Numbered folder)
    2. On the client computer , click Start > Run, type smc -stop, and click OK.
    3. Copy the Sylink.xml into the C:\Program Files (X86) \Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection folder, and replace any existing Sylink.xml file.
    4. Click Start > Run, type smc -start, and click OK.

if this work well and good Else use
