I recently upgraded our Master & Media Servers to 7.0 - upgrade went good. We have a dedicated NBU server in our DR environment. I need to upgrade it to 7.0 also, my questions is that when installing will it be the master or media server for that environment. What is the CORRECT way to setup a DR NBU Server?

Unfortunately Symantec setup our DR environment incorrectly. Each time we go into DR mode or test we will have to drop the Production nbu server off the network and add the DR server to the network.
This problem was supposed to be fixed with the new 7.0 version, but can't find documentation to support this. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

My understanding of NBU DR is

My understanding of NBU DR is that Prod Master is trashed, so you bring up another server with the same hostname, NBU version and patch. Then perform catalog recovery. Attach devices.

So in test you would have to drop the production box off the network. As cant have two servers on the network with same hostname etc.

Anyone like to confirm if this has changed in NBU 7.0?

Tip: Get overview/document your NBU environment. Run 'nbsu' and review the output.
