  • 1.  8.0.1-7 hangs opening quarantined spam

    This happened after upgrading to IE8.0 and is replicable everytime (at least on my machine).

    Logging into the administrative panel, accessing the spam quarantine inbox is fine but once I click on a quarantined email, the whole row of "button" links at the top disappears and the whole page would freeze. All links would be rendered unclickable but other tabs within IE are still working fine.

    It happens on both my workstation and notebook both upgraded to IE8.0.

    Prior to this IE7.0 was working fine.

    Can we isolate the problem and try from a PC with IE7?

    Everything works fine in IE7.0

    looks like a bug for IE8, we may need Symantec Support's assistance on the compatibility with IE8.

    right... mind directing me on how to submit a bug report or contact symantec support?

    i've scoured the support site but can't seem to find it.

    Adding brightmail gateway IP address into compatibility view settings of IE8 solved the problem.
