  • 1.  The ability to copy or move groups into other groups

It would be great if I could copy and paste groups into other groups, and/or move subgroups from one "master group" to another.

At this point I have to create a new group at the destination and the go and highlight and move everything from the source group. This isn't entirely bad, till you manage much more granularly and have 1,2, or 3 subgroups, and you've made a mistake on which "master group" they belong under. Also to copy and paste, just the structure would be nice (eg. not clients within the groups but just the master and subgroups to another area ).

This helps for quick modification to groups.

    Thanks

You can move groups today, as long as they are not inheriting policy from their parent.

    Does that help?

Like what Paul said, to move the sub-groups into a different location it is recommended to un-check the policy inheritance. Then right-click on the group name you want to move.

To copy a policy to a new group - create a sub-group from the group you want to copy. Disable inheritence and move it somewhere.

All of these are found in the Clients page, there are also options available in the Task menu below the group tree. And you cannot move the My Company, and Default Group.

    Cheers
