Please help me determine why i can't clone these new builds...they are Optiplex 780s. I am following the same procedure I've used for other generations, namely:

1. load Ghost onto Patient 0
2. use ghost console to gather image
3. boot blank PC w/ Ghost Boot CD and connect to GhostCast Server
4. push image from GhostCast Server

these are Erroring right after I press "Send" on the GhostCast Server.

diskwipe, or WinPE

Hello,

I would advise using gdisk.exe to wipe the destination drive. The error above is often due to disk errors, and a diskwipe is a goodway to combat that. Additionally, I would run the LiveUpdate (to version 11.0.2.1573) and recreate your boot disk. If this fails, you may consider upgrading to GSS 2.5. The reason I mention this is because the Dell 780 has the Intel ICH10 SATA controller, and we often need to Ghost it in a Windows PE boot environment (after adding the drivers for the Intel 82567 NIC and the Intel ICH10 SATA controller). If you have a support contract, it should be a free upgrade.

I used gdisk /diskwipe but I

I used gdisk /diskwipe but I still got the same/very similar error.

I attempted to LiveUpdate from Ghost Console but it says "All of the Symantec products and components installed on your computer are currently up-to-date."

Would solving my LiveUpdate issue realistically improve the boot disk so much that this would work ? I have no idea why it won't update...
