    Hello,
the past few days I am receiving the message "abort message" in brightmail for a specific sender. The senders email never arrives and he doesnt receive a rejected email as an answer. Also in the logs there are the following entries:

a conection to the firewall from: <80.xx.xx.xx> returned disposition: <connection_class_1> triggering filtering policy <static-connection-class-1> with destination <<firewall_response allow_messages="0" message="try again later" type="class_1"

    ML_HOST: ip:49793 connected. (ID: 8c9c1ca0)

    DNS resolution failure 50.67.xx.xx.zodiac.brightmail.com: 4

output_stast: stats have been written to /data/scanner/stast/mta_reject_stats.

    ESMTP-01393

    ML-HOST_DISCONNECTED: ip:49837 disconnected. (ID 8c9c1598)

The rest of the users from the same domain can send to me emails correctly. I have entered the senders email in good senders and i also created a compliance policy for the specific sender to deliver messages normally but the error still occurs.
    My brightmail's version is 8.0.1.

    Thank you

Do you have any kinc of smtp filteration enabled on your firewall.

Try looking for the sender in the find sender option of reputaion.

One more thing you can do is to tell this sender to try sending the mail using another clinet. Maybe he or she can try logging into an outlook/lotus client on another users machines from which you are getting emails or webmail and see if the mail comes through.

Does the sender Ip show up same as that for other userd from the domain.

Other things you can try are: -

Try sending mails using smtp commands from any external IP address with the sender as this user and recipent as a recipent in your domain. If this works then you may need to ask someone from the sender IT team to try the same from thier smto server. i.e. use command line and send meail on behalf of that user. If that also works that means there is some problem with the senders client.
