About the Symantec Installation Manager 7.1 SP2b Release

In the 7.1 SP2b release of Symantec Installation Manager, the following new features are introduced:

Feature Description
SIM automatically generates crash dumps. SIM now automatically generates crash dumps for exceptions and crashes.
To view crash dumps, navigate to C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\1\SIM Logs and check for the DMP file.
Domain administrators can run Symantec Installation Manager. Domain Administrators can now run SIM, in addition to local administrators. In previous SIM versions, only local administrators could run SIM.
Ability to toggle between different displays of the installation summary. Users can now toggle between the installation order and the alphabetical order of products or packages to be installed:
  • The keyboard shortcut for switching between the installation order and the alphabetical order is Ctrl + Shift + S
  • The keyboard shortcut for switching between the product and the package view is Ctrl + Shift + P

I'm confused.

Your post says, "7.1 SP2b release of Symantec Installation Manager", but I think you mean ITMS 7.1 SP2b.

This is a new release of the Symantec Installation Manager only, not the whole ITMS Suite.

i want to install this new

i want to install this new version where can i get the download link

as i alerady tried with SIM( 7.1.206) version but it shows only 7.0 old products for creating the packages.

help needed

Symantec Endpoint protection 11.0

We have Endpoint manager with clients, when i try to install Endpoint protection client, its keep getting roll back after install, i check is there any existing third party antivirus are there i could not find anyone.

it seems there is a virus already there in that client, please let me know is there any possible that i could make a bootable disk with antivirus application boot with that cd and scan the hold system?

 

please let me know as soon as possible?>???????????????? very urgent.
