Hi all,

I'm about to upgrade from Symantec Ghost 8.2 to GSS 2.0 and I'm relatively new to networking, servers, etc.  I just need to know what I should be looking out for, what to expect and what issues would arise.  Do I need to set up any rights, ip's, configurations, etc.?

The installer is a download from Symantec and there is no manual.  Actually, is there a place that I could download one?

Any help, suggestions would be greatly welomed.  I have a week to get this thing up and running and troubleshot.

Thanks.

ps.  The server is Windows 2000 Advanced Server

We did this upgrade not too long ago.  Everythig went fairly smoothly on our side, as nothing needed to be changed during the upgrade besides the software.

As for the product manual, everything is in PDF format after the install.  Print it out if needed, but having it in electornic format works much better, since it's easily searchable.  There are also some good tutorials that will walk yout through some of the processes associated with the program.

So you just did an uninstall of the old version and then installed the new version?  Were there any files that you had to retain?  Are there any permissions that need to be set?
