The STN forum had a way to mark a post for the moderators to review the post. I know that all posts are now moderated but that slows down the response time for the review. When the report abusive link was clicked on a window appeared for reporting information on the post. Sometimes I simply notified the moderator of a person posting their email address or posting to the wrong forum. The new "offensive post" link does not allow the person reporting on the post the ability to explain to the moderator what was found to be wrong. Also where is the "Terms of Service" published?

 Good questions - we are

Good questions - we are looking to enhance the "mark as offensive" link in the future, but for the time being if you need additional explanation on why you are flagging something, I'd send the moderators a PM with a link to the thread and your explanation.

Terms of service are in a few places, the most prominent is copyright notice at the footer of every page.  We need to make that more prominent.  I'll do that.  If you want to link to the terms of service document in a forum reply, just use this relative URL: /connect/legal

non offensive

Ajitjha,
Sometimes the post is offensive but not in the sense of abusive or improper language. Sometimes the post was simply placed into the wrong forum. Sometimes the post may have an email address which spammers can grab on to and abuse. Sometimes the content of the post is on a competitor's product. sometimes there may be a violation oof the Terms of Service (TOS). I was asking for a way to tell the moderatore why I mark a post as offensive when it contains examples like I explained above. Does that help you understand this discussion better?
