Access Denied to NS 7.1 database on client machine

Created: 10 Dec 2012 • Updated: 10 Dec 2012 | 3 comments

I am trying to make sql server logins for other users so when they connect to the notification server console so it will not say "Access Denied

You currently do not have sufficient network access rights to the Notification Server console.

Please contact your local area network administrator for further assistance."

This is not on the Notification Server it is on their workstation. I tried making sql logins under the symantec cdmb database under security but it still gives me this message.

The error does not have anything to do with SQL in this instance. You need to add the accounts to a security role in the SMP.

This may help you move in the right direction: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH144089

I just wanted to thank you for your help. I haven't replied back yet because I am still trying to get it to work.

I tried everything that was in the document and it still gives me access denied. Also after it gives you access denied. How do you reset it so the login screen comes up again? Because after it denies you the login screen doesn't show up again it just goes right to access denied again.
