Experienced the same problem discussed in this topic:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/remote-install-windows-7-pc-fails-access-denied

But the difference is that it happens on a Windows Server 2003.

After logging in the authorized credentials for the deployment, and verifying the IP, it stops during the copy and displays this message:

    screen01.JPG

Windows firewall is off (when i do Start -> Run -> Firewall.cpl, it says that to turn Windows Firewall, you need to turn ICS; which i assume it currently off).

I checked also the ports and they are open.

I checked the ADMIN$ and C$ shares and found out that they are disabled, so I enabled them right away,

On other machines, deployment is ok.

Any other ideas why this happened?

    Your suggestions could help me.

    Hi,

The installation files are copied to C:\clt-inst folder. You can check the permissions on that.

Also check the permissopns for the folder Start->run-> "%temp%

Make sure that Network Service is listed in the list of users.

In the manager in start--->run if you put \\<other server ip>\c$ are you able to access it?

What is the OS of the machine that you are trying to deploy this package to. If its Vista or 2008 turn off the UAC and things should work.
