  • 1.  Accessing ZTE AC2726 Reliance Datacard when the user's USB is under "Blocked Devices"

    hi

    how to access the ZTE AC2726 Reliance Broadband + data card when the user's USB drive  is blocked
    thru "Blocked Devices" under  Symantec Endpoint Policy

    the following device id's are already excluded thru "devices excluded from blocking "

    Modem  GUID :
     {4d36e96d-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
    Device ID's :
    ZTE USB Modem FFF1:
     USB\VID_19D2&PID_FFF1&MI_00\6&1A2F3053&0&0000
    ZTE Diagnostics Port FFF1 :
     USB\VID_19D2&PID_FFF1&MI_03\6&1A2F3053&0&0003
    ZTE GPS Port FFF1 :
     USB\VID_19D2&PID_FFF1&MI_04\6&1A2F3053&0&0004
    ZTE Service Port FFF1 :
     USB\VID_19D2&PID_FFF1&MI_01\6&1A2F3053&0&0001
    ZTE Voice Port FFF1 :
     USB\VID_19D2&PID_FFF1&MI_02\6&1A2F3053&0&0002

    but still its not recognizing the modem.

    will u please suggest the right option.

    First double check the polity and assure that you are provided tge right GUID.
    Second assure that this policy is receive by client.This you can find with the help of policy sl. no.
    Then reboot the computer and try..

    verify if the policy is updated on the client machine where you plugin the device. Also set the policy to log as well to know if application and device control policy is the blocking?
