Hi All,

Can you please tell me where exactle I do get the error logs for a tape drive on ACSLS.??

Is this the path  

$ACS_HOME/log/acsss_event.log .. ??

acsss_event.log is good for 'control path' error logs.

Errors as far as I/O is concerned is mostly logged in the 'data path' - i.e. the host(s) where the drive is connected to. For a Solaris media server, device errors are logged in /var/adm/messages.

Check system logs - e.g /var/adm/messages on Solaris.

For Netbackup, check the usual system log + bptm log +  /usr/openv/volmgr/debug/*  (could have a few here), please refer to Netbackup documents.
