This issue has been solved. See solution.

Dear all,
yesterday we update our Enterprise Vault Server SP2 to SP3.
Additional we update the Exchange Addins on the Exchange Server (for OWA)
and the uninstall, new install the Outlook Addins.
All services are up on SP3, only the Virtual Vault View in Outlook isn't available?
Any Idea what i have to change to get the new view (the archiv in an additional folder -> virtual vault) in Outlook?

Client

Hello Hermann,

As far as I know, the virtual vault is a feature of the EV-client on the workstations, and not in OWA
Have you updated the clients already?
Have you set the settings for the virtual vault to at least get the metadata to the clients?

Gertjan

Thank you, Gertjan

Client Addin

Hi
yes, we update first the EV Server, following the Exchange and last uninstall reinstall the new Outlook Addin on the Client.
The EV Client Help on my PC shows me the help with the Virtual Vault Screenshots :) Only my Outlook doesn't show me the virtual vault.

What to you mean with: "Have you set the settings for the virtual vault to at least get the metadata to the clients?"
I could edit the Virtual Vault settings on the Desktop Policy, and the replication to the client works. I changed the policy (add an additional button in the client addin and this button is available).
Which setting (metadata) i have to set for virtual vault in my Outlook?

enable Vault Cache

Setting_up_Exchange_Archiving.pdf page 71:

To enable Vault Cache, you select Make Vault Cache available for users on the
Vault Cache tab in the Exchange Desktop policy. To enable Virtual Vault, you
select Make Virtual Vault available to users, as well as Make Vault Cache
available for users.

THX a lot!
