This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello Everyone,

At current we have one user account and password to access our SEPM console.  For security purposes we would like each administrators to have their own login.  I wanted to find out if it is possible to integrate SEPM into Active Directory so we could authenticate using our normal Domain User Name and Password?

Thanks in advance

Yes it is possible but you

Yes it is possible but you cannot use AD groups. Each AD user will need an account created in SEPM. You need to configure an Ldap/ad connection in the server properties. Then when you create a SEPM account you can use AD to authenticate.

Thanks for your reponse

Thanks for your reponse thatdude, much appreciated.

I was reading through the instructions found at the link below:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...

and I wanted to inquire about this

10. Type the user name of the authorized directory server account in User Name field.
11. Type the password for the Directory Server account in the Password field.

For security reasons we change all of our password on a regular basis, and I would imagine that when that password for the account that was used in the steps above changes, we need to update the password in SEPM?  Or does SEPM automatically grab the new password from AD and keep going?

Thanks again,

STG

It automatically does it. We

It automatically does it. We change AD passwords often and you just login to SEPM with your new password.
