Active Scanning
Created: 21 Nov 2012 | Updated: 21 Nov 2012 | 4 comments
I have modified the Exceptions policy to exclude directories from being scanned. I have selected to exclude these items by all scans, but is this where I define active scanning exclusions as well or is that in a different location? I came from a McAfee shop about a year ago and havent really taken time to get familiar with Symantec all that much.
Thanks,
Erik

Hello,
Centralized Exceptions policies contain exceptions for the following types of scans for Windows-based operating systems:
Centralised exception means ...that will be excluded from all types of scans including Auto-Protect scan.
In the same centralized exception policy you can exclude extensions as well..so you can exclude .mdf files in tht and assign the policy to all the groups
