We have a customer ActiveX package developed by our company and I have targeted OU software delivery polocies to install on specific OU's.

Is there a report or a way to tell what has the package installed? Software report and IT Analytics software report, software components report does not show me. I need to know how the installations are going so i can report back to the business.

I can see that package installs lots of different controls for apps such as crystal reporting, Ionix etc  and I have the file versions etc. Is it possible to use these files to target for reporting. I know that prior to rolling out thsi ActiveX Control pack these files were not installed so it if I can report on the number of these files installed it should hopefully give me the correct numbers that package is installed on, well I think it may anyway?

    Hi Magic Hammer,

1st: You can check default software reports for Quick delivery tasks or Managed Delivery policies (Depending on how you've targeted your package delivery on OU's)

2nd: You can open "Manage" ⇒ "Computers" ⇒ Click there on ">>>Play" button to see summary views ⇒ choose there "Managed Delivery" or "Quick Delivery" to see summary delivery/installation status of your targeted software on all targeted computers

    Thanks,

Thansk for this IP. I do have one question, if it is showing on the policy status as not applied i take it that means it has not be installed and Notin Compliance means it is?

I right click on the managed delivery policy compliance report > Software Compliance Details by Managed Delivery Policy and I can see the machines name and the policy details as either not applied or Not in compliance. Checking some of the machine names in computers and viewing their installed software I can see that is showing as installed.

Go to say these software compliance reports are pretty awesome.

'Not Applied' status in the  'Software Compliance Status' report means that:
    1. Policy hasn't received by client
    2. if policy was received by client this status means that no one of the tasks from the policy was not started.
