  • 1.  Activity Center Crashes on Altiris 7.1 SP2 Server

    When I click Manage/Jobs and Task or Software Catalog, or Software, or Computer IE crashes and reloads the previous SMP page. This only happens when I use the AppID that SMP was setup with. And this only started happening recently. Any other ID I've tried on the server works OK. And running the interface from a PC work OK too. I've stumped two different Symantec techs so far. 

     

    We have uninstalled and reinstalled the activity center. Uninstalled and reinstalled Silverlight and Java. We've also upgraded from IE8 to IE9. We have been unable to find any log error message. 

    It seems obvious it is a profile issue, but I'm reluctant to whack the ID that setup the server.

    Any suggestions??

    The console works everywhere, unless you are logged on to the NS itself as the AppID?

    When I log into the Windows 2008 Server with the AppID, yes, this is the only time it fails. And it ONLY fails on Activity Center related items. All other functionality still works.
