Activity Monitor Will Not Start
Created: 13 Jul 2010 | 3 comments
Everything else in the GUI is fine but when I click on the Activity Monitor, it will never start and NetBackup hangs up until I right+click and close the application. I am running 6.5.5 Windows. I know a reboot is going to resolve the problem but I have too many jobs that I don't want to interrupt. Is there something I can do, daemons or services I can try to stop and restart that might help without interrupting running jobs?
Thanks,
Randy

Couple of T/Ns for you to peruse Randy.
This deals with incorrectly decommissioned media servers:
"Activity monitor" hangs or takes lot of time to response
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/336296.htm
& this with multiple NICs
GENERAL ERROR: Admin Console hangs after reboot. Errors connecting to Activity Monitor and Storage Units.

Seems unusual that everything else is ok just Activity Monitor.
What about the Java console?

Thanks Andy
I tried going through the nbconsole log but didn't find the errors the tech note thought might be there. I'm now on line waiting for tech support to pick up my call.
