AD Authentication for SEP Administrators - 2008 server
Updated: 30 Oct 2010 | 2 comments
Hi all.
I am running 11.0.5002.333 and it is working ok.
Under servers, SEP Server, Directory Servers Tab - I have a Directory Server listed for Active Directory lookups. The current server is a Windows 2000 Server. Everything is working fine.
I am trying to de-commission that server, and upgrade the Domain to all 2008 servers. When I Edit the Directory Server to look to the new 2008 Domain Controller, I can no longer log in with my Domain Account - I have to log on as the local builtin admin.
Is there something I need to change to talk to 2008 DC servers from Endpoint?
TIA

Are you adding the 2k8 DC via hostname or IP address?
If it is hostname then maybe DNS is stopping the SEPM from reaching that DC.
Can you telnet to 389 (default port) from the SEPM to the new DC?
Do you have secure LDAP
Do you have secure LDAP enabled on the 2008 server?
