    Good day,

I work for a large international organisation with a global active directory. Our corporate HQ is looking at implementing Altiris worldwide but is worried that there will be schema changes in AD that could cause compatibility issues.

Now, I am fairly sure that this is not the case, but can anyone confirm whether this is the case?

    Thanks loads,

    Mac

    Hello Mac,
Altiris does not make any schema changes to Active Directory. It does provide a free tool to import certain active directory objects (computers, users, sites\subnets), however it is all one way - into Altiris. The full connector solution, which is not free, allows for additional imports and even exports, but does not modify the schema.

If you want documented documentation, the knowledge base and documentation pages should be of great help.

    Cheers,

    Jim
