This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi all,

I have AD sync service running and it has been working fine for ages. I did some AD housekeeping the other day, e.g. removed some old computers, but they still show in the SEE Users and Computers - it doesnt seem to have updated at all. The report does show that sync is working OK..

Any suggestions please?

Thanks
David

open config manager >>>> go

open config manager >>>> go to directory sync services tab >>>> enable reverse db verification >>> restart the AD service from the console >>> then hit the refresh button at the bottom .... check if this resolves the issue

Hi Vaibhav, That definately

Hi Vaibhav,

That definately helped - most OU's have now updated but some still have old machines in. I notice theres an option to rebuild the table - is it worth doing that?  Any negative consequences?

Cheers

When you see db is completely

When you see db is completely screwed up then you hit rebuild -- this will collect the data from scratch..... You should run this when DB in now where near to AD .... This happens very rarely .... Always do a restart and then refresh - life will be simple and happy

if this is mission critical and you need to get the old machines off the see console then go ahead --- if there are few machines and you can live with it then let it be -- I personally don't like hitting that button ......
