Endpoint Protection

We currently have production SEP environment running version 12.1.4104.4130.  We want to test some Application and Device Control policies, but it we don't want to just test in a test group in our production environment.  We want to do all test in a completely separate test environment, as per our change management process.

We have a separate test environment that has been set up, but it is version 12.1.16168.6000.

If we develop an ADC policy in the newer 12.1.16168.6000 test server and we export those policies, will we be able to import them into our older 12.1.4104.4130 production server, or will there be compatibility issues or issues with the difference between ADC features?  I'm not sure how much has changed in ADC between those two versions.

There should not be any issues in doing this. The policies you create and configure will work in any version of 12.1. Anything that has changed will be "under the hood" but should be normal in terms of the configuration and usage.
