Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Hi,

I'm trying to add search Criteria, under "Manage", "Computer".
When I click "Add Custom Criteria", the new window will open and the blue circle turns. Thats all.

Anyone knows this issue??

Do you have security roles configured?

Please try to open this same page with an user on Symantec Administrators role to verify if this is a permission problem.

The window is grabbing all associated dataclasses and resource associations as well as inherited data classes and resource associations so it could take 10 seconds or so to render.  How long has it been sitting like that?

Are there any Error on page messages in the bottom left of IE?

@Luke: Yes, I've security roles configured, but the problem exists with all users, even with the symantec administrator.

@Andrew: 10 seconds wouldn't a problem :). I opend the window bevor lunch and after lunch, the blue cirle still turning. There is no error in the ie ore something else. It seems to be "ok".

The same window in the Software section works fine. The blue cirle turns for 10 or 20 seconds.

The Silverlight UI has a built-in 2 minute timeout.  If it takes longer than that to retrieve the data from the database, then the UI will not respond.  If it is taking that long to retreive the data from the database, then we might be looking at some serious SQL performance issues.

Do you have regular maintenance setup to defrag indexes and rebuild statistics on your SQL server?

yes I've set up regular maintenance.
But I will check the settings next time I'm Onsite.
I know, there is a symantec guidline how to setup maintenace on the SQL-Server.
If I've found the document I will got through setp by step.

Any other ideas for this issue?
