Hello, I am attempting to add 2 network adapters for VMware Workstation in the SEPM and am confused as to which text I use within the addition screen.  The SEP directions state to run "ipconfig /all" and then use the adapter name and other steps say use the adapter description.  Below is the ipconfig /all output for one VM adapter.  I've tried both but am seeing mixed results within the firewall rules I'm trying to define; I'll create a new post for that issue.

    What should I use for:

    • Adapter Type
    • Adapter Name
    • Adapter Identification

Ethernet adapter VMware Network Adapter VMnet1:

       Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
       Description . . . . . . . . . . . : VMware Virtual Ethernet Adapter for VMnet1

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Adapter Type: Ethernet Adapter

Adapter Name: Name of your choosing to ID it

Adapter ID: Description above is what you need. Type exactly as it shows (case-sensitive)
