Add-in Outlook Protection cannot be loaded

I,
 
I have SEP manager MR2 installed and configurated.  I have created Sep's packages with all options except Email Protection.
 
My managed clients have SEP MR1 installed with all options (included email protection for outlook), but now I have distributed a new package without outlook protection.
 
When the clients open microsoft outlook with the attachments obtain the following error or warning:
 
"The Add-in "Symantec Antivirus Outlook Protection" (c:\program files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\vpmsece.dll) cannot be loaded and has been disabled by Outlook.  Please contact the add-in manufacter for an update.  if no update is available, please uninstall the add-in"
 
Why this warning? why doesn't the uninstallation make correctly?
 
How do I avoid this message?

you have probably already figured this out, as it has been some time since you posted this issue.  i figured i would respond anyway in case you haven't or in case someone else stumbles upon the issue.

close outlook
browse to Documents and Settings\<local user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
delete extend.dat

open outlook and you should be good to go.
