We built a new server with Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 SP1 for a client who had been previously running version 6.9. This is the first time I have used the Altiris Deployment Solution and the client is telling me that on the old server the computers would be added to the domain after they were imaged. They are telling me that they did not use sysprep.

Is their a configuration or job that can be setup in the console that will do this?

I have been searching the console on the old server trying to find how this might have been done without any luck.

I am not having any luck finding if this is possible with Altiris documentation either.

Configure

HI
If you right click on a computer or group of computers ie "New computers" folder and choose "Configure" you can choose the domain name there, although your Altiris account login would need domain join rights. You can also drill into this a bit further and associate/change computer names, IP etc

just to add

Just to add on, you will need to set up the Domain Accounts that have rights to add computers to the domain. This is under Tools-Options-Domain Accounts. Add user accounts here that will not have their passwords changed and have access to add users to the domain. Then you can use the Configuration Jobs/tasks to add computers to the domain.
