    Hi All,

Is there a way of adding multiple computer to a group without installing client (I have over 300 Laptop and well over 500 desktop excluding servers), also how do you deploy client to this multple computers.

I created a group and added OU from AD which contains several computers, how do you deploy to these group.

I created another group and manually added 10 workstations which are all coming up as offline, how do i deploy client to this group

Please I need some direction and not link to doc, I have seen quite a lot of doc but just referring to ways and not specific

    Thanks and rgds

You can just add an install package to the group.

    Open SEPM

    Go to Clients page

Select the Group you want to upgrade

Go to the Install Packages tab

    Add a Client Install Package

On the General tab, select the bit (32 or 64). If you have both 32 and 64 you will need to add both packages.

Uncheck "maintain exsiting client features when updating" and select which you want to use.

You can also set an upgrade schedule and over how many days.

Does SEP Client already available that machine ?

If not you can use the Client Deployment wizard

AD Integration with SEPM only helps to retain your AD structure so that you can apply policies accordingly.OU import has nothing to do with deployment

    Many thanks guys

@Brian, I already did that for both Server and Workstation group which are connected to OA from AD, check client, no client listed, also is there any wakeup option to start the upgrade or how does it package get pushed to the group computer or it's automatic

    Thanks

The client will begin the upgrade process once it checks in based on its heartbeat setting. So depends on what you have that set to.

Brian, this is not an upgrade but fresh new client push (new system just added to the network)

How does SEPM detect and install new client on new system on the network, also I realised when I pushed manually there's an error connecting to all window server and Windows 8..

You can use the client deployment wizard if you have a list of machines

How To Upgrade Endpoint Protection Clients through New Package Deployment.

Otherwiseyou need to configure an unmanaged detector to find those machines on your network without SEP.

Just 1 question... Can you make SEPM an unmanaged detector?

Any client with SEP and the NTP component can be an unmanaged detector. I wouldn't do this as the SEPM has enough to do. You should designate a normal client as the UD.

@Brian... Many thanks, I acually tried it and it worked but you already answer my next question that is is advisable to enable this on SEPM? thanks

You can. There is nothing that says you can't or that it won't work. Ideally, I would use another server or perhaps a workstation if you can but enabling on the SEPM will work.
