Adding email address in CA user

I have a question, for example,  we add a additional email in 1 of the employee at 1-Dec-2012, can we search in CA before 1-Dec-2012, Assume we have email inside?

Do we need to enable journal Connector

You can do an ad-hoc search in CA for mail by a date range.  You need to be aware there is no department tagging before the time that the Journal Connector was installed so you when you do searches based on department you won't get results. 

You need to construct your search by selecting individuals and not departments.
