We are in the process of migrating a SEPM/SEP 11 enterprise clients to a SEPM 12 SBE edition

As a test have pushed the client communication package to one of the SEPM 11 client and it was stated that the remote push was a success.

Now on SEPM 11 console I can see the SEP client as offline but I cant see the SEP client on SEPM 12 console.

Have I doen somethign wrong ?Did I miss anything?

Check the client and go to help >> troubleshooting and under Server does it show connected to the SEPM?

Have contacted the user but received no responce yet.But as soon as I can access the pc will let you know an update.

Let me get that right...

You are migrating the Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x clients to Symantec Endpoint Protection SBE 12.1, correct?

You are also pushing the client communication package to one of SEP 11 clients so that it can report to the SEPM SBE 12.1, correct? Are you using the SylinkReplacer Utility for SEP 11.x?

Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.x to Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.1.x. This is considered a downgrade, and it is not supported.

Checked the client and it is saying offline. Tried pushing the communication package again via remote push but without any luck. Saved the communication package, executed the sylink replacer tool and the log says the file has been replaced successfully but client is still not registered with new SEPM.

Mithun , I did not use the sylinkreplacer utility but the client communication package included with SEPM 12 .

Also when you say it’s not supported that we cannot do this successfully? Do we need to uninstall the SEP clients and then push via new SEPM?

Please explain.

Sorry after re-reading your original post this will not work.

SEP Enterprise and SEP SBE are two different products. So if you want to go from Enterprise to SBE, you need to uninstall the Enterprise version and install the SBE version.
