If Windows 7 is not supported with GSS 2.5 is there any other simple way to add Windows 7 drivers to WinPE?  (In Ghost Boot Wizard, WinPE, Edit, add new driver - Windows 7 is not there)

For the WIN-PE (Ghost boot

For the WIN-PE (Ghost boot Wizard) you need Windows Vista Drivers 32Bit only, no Windows 7 or other drivers are needed when making an boot disk with the WIN-PE .You add them into the WIN-PE Template in the boot disk wizard. I copied the Win-PE template and renamed to something else because its best to edit your own and not the originals ones incase it goes corrupt and you have to reload ghost apparently.

Thanks
James

version and drivers

Dean,

The two previous posters are absolutely right. Running LiveUpdate will add compatibility for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. After running LiveUpdate, verify the version listed in the boot wizard is 11.5.1.2266. Adding Win7 drivers in the boot wizard is only necessary for the DeployAnywhere feature; for booting and Ghosting, Windows Vista 32bit drivers are the ones necessary, based on the build of Windows PE  we use. Here is an article explaining:

Why does Symantec Ghost need drivers for Windows Vista when imaging some other operating system?

Thank you,

Randy
