  • 1.  Addition of classification on General User Submit form

    Posted Dec 17, 2010 06:18 AM

I am looking to add the Classification to the General Incident form.  I have managed to add it as a field, however when I submit the incident it does not show up in the classifications.  I would like to have these fields submitted for the standard user.

I have worked through the workflows and found the differences between the technician and the general submission.  The difference being General uses "Submit Incident" and the Technician uses "Submit Incident Advanced'  Now the difference between the two is the variables coming from different URL's.  I want to find out how to add the variables for Category from the Advanced submit to the standard submit.

I believe this is due to the submit incident component not having the classification category available on the configuration tab under inputs.  you will need to use the Submit Incident Advanced component to have the classification field available.

What you can try is adding a single value mapping component before the submit incident component and choose servicedeskincident as the target type.  click the mapping definition elipsis and map the output variable that you chose for the classification on the form to the correct classification categories on the right hand side.

This is just a theory but it should work.
