I noticed the other day that some of my clients icons were showing disabled, this was because the Proactive Threat Protection hadnt been updating. Within the SEPM clients section i can see the status of Auto Protect and Firewall status but cannot see whether there are any problems relating to Proactive Threat Protection, is this something that can be added to the console without having to run a report?

I didn't got what you mean by

I didn't got what you mean by "some of my clients icons were showing disabled, this was because the Proactive Threat Protection hadnt been updating"
If a client shows an  icon without green dot in console means that client is offline .A lot of reasons are possible for this .I don't think PTP is not updating is the reason for this..
Below article may be helpful for troubleshooting this issue
Troubleshooting Client Communication

If you want to see PTP updation status in SEPM it is currently not possible
Any way in future releases it may be available
There is some ideas are present related to this ,you can also vote for that
PTP &NTP Definition status also should display in console
SEPM console also display the NTP and PTP definition
PTP definition status

Please don't forget to mark your thread solved with whatever answer helped you : ) Thanks & Regards Aravind

The client icon is yellow

The client icon is yellow with a red no entry symbol on it.
The clients are online and the Antivirus/Anti spyware element is up to date.
The clients are also showing with a green dot within the Management console, so as far as i am concerned by looking at the console , everything is ok.
However, as the console doesnt have the facility to report the status of the PTP, i will never know if there is a problem unless i physically walk past the client and check the icon, given that we have 260 clients, that isn't practical, the whole point of the console, is to tell me the status of the clients.

The problem has now been fixed, however if the problem comes back tomorrow, i wont know about it.
i just wondered if there was a section in the console that showed the PTP status, but  you have confirmed that there isnt.
many thanks for your post.
kind regards
Rick

You can have a scheduled

You can have a scheduled report set for the PTP updates mailed to you everyday so that you can have a look at it...

To send notifications by email, you must also configure a mail server. To configure a mail server, click the Admin > Servers page, select a server, click Edit Server Properties, and then click the Mail Server tab.
