admin password forgotten

This issue has been solved. See solution.

How do I reset the password? the is no resetpassword tool anymore in new version. I have just upgraded to 12.1.1

PS: i'm unable to submit support request cause I get error after saying "yes, continue to submit"

To reset the administrator password

  1. Open Windows Explorer on the computer that runs Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

  2. Locate the Drive:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools folder.

  3. Double-click resetpass.bat.

    The user name and password are reset to admin.

  4. Log on to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager using admin for both the user name and the password, and change the password

Wait 5 Mint. after reset password and login

Please use the file Reset.bat which is available under tools which will reset the password to admin

anyway I got it, there is a forgot password link thats sends you temporay password by email...

Since you using the SEPM 12.1, you would not find the Resetpass.bat Utility.

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 has a new and safer mechanism to reset passwords. To reset the password, click the "Forgot your password?" link on the Manager logon screen. The old method for removing passwords has been removed.

You can use forgot password and a temporary password would be send to your administrator
