  • 1.  Administrator Defined Scan and Standby

I have a administrator scheduled scan set for every day at 2am.

On the schedule tab, I do NOT have "retry the scan withing" enabled under missed scheduled scans.

For computers that are OFF at 2am, the computer correctly does not run the scheduled scan when the computer boots.

If the user puts the computer in Standby (I think both standby and hibernate have the problem), when the computer brings the computer out of standby, the scheduled scan runs.

This did not occur with SAV 10 and earlier.

Most of my systems are Windows XPsp3 with SEP 11 MR2 MP1.   I've experienced the problem on Vista as well.

    Any ideas?

Please make sure start up scans is disabled.

If that does not resolve the issue:

    1. Delete scheduled scan defined in the policies.
    2. Save.
    3. Edit policy.
    4. Add scheduled scan back into the policy (from template or create from scratch).
    5. Apply policy to the affected client group.

I tried both suggestions but the admin scheduled scan still ran.

I searched our DB and found a case like yours. The fix will be in the MR4 MP3 build. I dont have a release date, but I will update you when I have that.

    Cheers,
    Thomas

Correction, there will be no MR4 MP3, we are going straight to MR5. The fix will be included in that build which is due out mid September.

    Cheers,
