& then it goes again - thought it was just me!

Nope, happened again! Here I was about to curse IE 9.0 again! angry

Maybe a little notice should have been put up if maintenance is responsible for this?

I just wish there could be BIG BANNERS saying 'Busy with site maintenance' or something to that effect....

It's not a browser issue - I'm using FF.

I pinged one of the site admins, and made him aware of today's issues. I will update here when I have info.

Best,

Sorry all, I don't doubt that there was an issue but I'm unable to reproduce it now.

We'll continue to look at server logs and see if there was some sort of outage in the last few hours.

By the way, we've been asked to push code updates to the production servers every other Tuesday.

It's working fine right now - we've experienced the problem about 5 - 8 hours ago... (Monday morning in EMEA region).

We've been able to reproduce this and are looking into it now.

Will keep you posted.

Hi all,

We're still troubleshooting this issue ... it's intermittent nature is making it difficult to track down but it appears to be related to caching. Whenever the problem is reported, it disappears shortly (probably when the internal caches are rebuilt).

I'll continue to update you via this thread.

Connection on my side has been fine most of yesterday and this morning, but NetBackup forum is currently showing up empty....

Storage and Clustering forums all behaving well... for now....

Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry this issue is persisting.

We're still trying to find out exactly what is causing it.

The Security forums are acting up now at 12:26 PM PDT.

ALL the forums that I normally visit are now 'playing up'.

I'm calling it a day... (21:45 GMT+2)

This may not be related to this problem, but nowadays when I add a comment, I don't get the message saying I now have nnn points.

I have made Kevin aware of this over here: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/blogs/conn...

Again the same issue...

"No items found" while opening backup exec forum.

I thought of trying with other backup and archiving forums and clicked on forums. Surprisingly no forums are listed there. Only pinned items like Welcome, BE support Tool, Glossary, Top 20 NBU articles etc.......

CraigV's picture

...points don't seem to be showing up after posting either.

Post a Private Message to any of the site Admins. I think they can resolve your issue...

One more thing is, if a user is not contributed for more than 6 months, then his earlier points also will expire.

Regards...

Symanticus's picture

yes I have, but no reply yet that is why I wonder what happened to this forum ? has the point reward system stopped working ?

Dear CraigV,

I have already brought this to the attention of Connect Team a couple of weeks back and Cycletech responded that 'IE 9 is not currently supported yet by Connect engine' Please check out this mention here: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ie-9-jeopardizing-poll-also

CraigV's picture

...might not be supported, but I don't currently have that issue, so that's not it!

Points not showing up has nothing to do with Browser support -  Admin Kevin is aware of the problem:

When I am pressing the voting button it does refresh and shows that I have voted, but the number of votes remains the same (see the pictrue):

Refreshing the page in browser does solve this but I think there is some issue anyway.
